Project partners (members) may request termination of their membership at any time. Requests can be made by written notice via the project portal.
Any funds remaining in your account at Compass Charitable Partners cannot be transferred to you once termination of membership has been processed. Compass is legally obligated under federal law to ensure all donated funds are permanently dedicated to a charitable purpose. This obligation cannot be satisfied once oversight of your program by Compass ceases. Once partnership is terminated, any remaining funds will be disbursed for charitable purposes at the discretion of the Compass team.
